The Mayor had a meeting with representatives of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Lithuania
Today, representatives of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Lithuania Qu Baihua and Attaché Jiang Haotian, accompanied by Julius Kazėnas, Chairman of the Ukmergė City Community and founder of Lithuanian Santarves Foundation, visited Ukmergė District Municipality (hereinafter referred to as the Municipality).
Participants talked about their activities and cities. Other relevant issues were discussed, and views were exchanged on foreign policy issues.
This meeting will provide an opportunity for future communication and cooperation. A further exchange of ideas and experiences was agreed.
Later, the guests will visit the "Nykštukas" kindergarten, President Antanas Smetona's Manor and Museum (Užulėnis, Taujėnai sen., Ukmergė district), and the exhibition of unique folk music instruments in Dainava, etc.
This is not the first time that Q.Baihua and J.Haotian have visited Ukmergė: on 22 December, they handed over six tablets to representatives of seven kindergartens of Ukmergė on the occasion of Christmas.
The tablets were gifted to representatives of the Ukmergė kindergartens "Eglutė", "Saulutė", "Žiogelis", "Nykštukas", "Vaikystė", "Buratinas" and the pre-school educational section "Šilelis" of the Ukmergė Pašilė Progymnasium.
These tablets have become an essential tool in children's education.
