Foreign delegations will arrive to congratulate Ukmergė

On 26-28 May, delegations from 6 foreign Partner Cities will take part in the 690th anniversary celebration of Ukmergė "Cultural Rock 'n' Roll". During the festive days, we will have guests from Germany (Bad Langensalca), Hungary (Kiskunmajsa), Latvia ( Livani), Poland (Tarnowo Podgórne), Ukraine (Korosten) and Poland (Wydminy). A Memorandum of Intent on Cooperation was signed with the latter in March and a Cooperation Agreement is planned for the future.

A total of 17 Partner Cities will be present.

Two other delegations that were due to arrive - one from Turkey (Muratpaşa) and the other from Ukraine (Krasyliv) - have informed us in recent days that they will not be able to come. 

Representatives from foreign delegations will not only attend the events of the 690th birthday of Ukmergė, but will also actively participate in the events themselves. On 25 May, at 7 pm, the guests will enjoy the Percussive Music Project "Symphony from North Jerusalem", which will take place in the Partisans' Park of the Great Combat County. On 26 May at 4 pm they will march in the festive procession, greet Ukmergė and its residents at the official opening of the festival, visit the bustling fair and other events of the City's birthday.
