“All Roads Lead to Ukmergė!” - A Celebration of Friendship and Unity
From May 29 to June 1, the Ukmergė City Festival “All Roads Lead to Ukmergė!” brought together distinguished guests from nine partner cities for a vibrant and memorable celebration.
The Ukmergė District Municipality had the honor of welcoming delegations from Livani (Latvia), Korosten, Kamianets-Podilskyi, and Krasyliv (Ukraine), Muratpaşa (Turkey), Tsalenjikha (Georgia), Bad Langensalza (Germany), Kiskunmajsa (Hungary), and Tarnowo Podgórne (Poland). In total, 32 international guests took part in the festivities — a strong symbol of municipal cooperation that continues to strengthen international partnerships and friendships.
Throughout their visit, the delegations participated in the main festival events and explored cultural landmarks. On May 30, they visited the “Brushstroke” art exhibition at the Ukmergė Cultural Centre and attended the “Rhythm Symphony” concert during the “Percussion Ukmergė 2025” festival. On May 31, they toured the historic Taujėnai Manor.
The guests also marched in the festive city parade, joined the official opening ceremony, extended greetings to the people of Ukmergė, and enjoyed the festive fair and other celebratory activities.
The successful participation of the partner cities’ representatives highlighted Ukmergė’s growing presence in the international arena and served as a meaningful symbol of friendship, unity, and continued collaboration.
